چکیده

The present study investigated the potential of Jatropha curcas L. seed oil and lye its ash for soapmaking. Oil was extracted from seeds using Soxhlet extractor n-hexane. Lye solution obtained by boilingash with distilled water. physicochemical properties (saponification value, Iodine acid valueand peroxide value) (and blend palm oil) were found to be consistent reported values inliterature. content relative density also 31.17% 0.88g/cm3, respectively. Soapsamples prepared treating solution. Their (moisturecontent, total alkali content, fatty matter, pH, foam ability cleansing ability) comparablewith laundry soaps. findings indicated that itsseed result in soap materials have acceptable qualities.

Study on small molecular organic compounds pyrolysed from rubber seed oil and its sodium soap.

Rubber seed oil (RSO) and its sodium soap were pyrolysed in a batch reactor to obtain low molar mass organic substances. The pyrolitic oil of RSO was redistilled and the distillates were characterized by GC-MS and FTIR. Density, acid value, saponification value and ester values were also measured according to the ASTM standard methods. A similar analysis was done for samples taken out at differ...
